Shaping the Future of Food

As pioneers in the digital food space, we have a rich history of groundbreaking projects. In 2006, we launched BakeSpace.com, revolutionizing how food enthusiasts connect and share recipes. This was followed by the introduction of Cookbook Cafe in 2012, a unique platform for publishing and discovering interactive cookbooks. In 2018, we officially established Pepaj Media, LLC to expand our digital footprint, including the development of TV projects (thanks to our founder’s rich history in unscripted television production). In 2024, we delved into AI, unveiling our latest innovations:

• BakeBot AI Recipe Maker, designed to transform how people create and enjoy culinary experiences (which just earned a 2024 Webby Honor for Connected Website)
• TastyUpdate.com, an AI platform that simplifies social media posts.

At Pepaj Media, we are focused on making AI more human, pushing the boundaries of digital content, and continuously evolving to meet the needs and passions of our audience.

Our Approach

We’ve spent years understanding why and how people form a connection with content. Whether it’s producing TV series, building online communities, launching digital publishing platforms or developing AI & interactive storytelling formats with branch narratives, our approach is deliciously simple; treat the audience with respect and focus on the type of content that we’re passionate about.

Pepaj is pronounced “Pep-eye.” It’s Albanian, which is another way of saying it’s fearless and free-minded with a can-do attitude. Our founder embraces the slightly rebellious nature of her forbearers from high in the Baltic mountains. Combine that with her Native American (Chippewa/Ojibway Tribe) roots, and what you get is a drive and resilience ready to conquer any challenge.

Pepaj Media was founded by Babette Pepaj, a multimedia producer with over a decade of experience creating trend-setting network television programming.

Babette is also the founder of BakeSpace.com—the Web’s first food-themed social network and DIY cookbook publishing platform, Cookbook Cafe. She further expanded her influence by launching and producing the TECHmunch conference series, organizing more than 30 major conferences across North America for culinary content creators and influencers.

Pepaj Media represents the culmination of Babette’s experiences, expertise, and passion for storytelling. Transitioning from traditional television to pioneering AI technologies, such as BakeBot AI Recipe Maker and TastyUpdate.com, Pepaj Media is at the forefront of transforming how people create and experience food content in the digital age.
