I’m Babette Pepaj, a Los Angeles-based producer, filmmaker and founder with more than 20 years of experience across television, digital media, branded content and emerging formats.
I started my career at Bunim/Murray Productions, working in unscripted television on shows including The Real World and Road Rules. From there, I spent 15+ years producing and directing reality, documentary, lifestyle, travel and entertainment television for networks including MTV, ABC, NBC, FOX, TLC, TBS, Travel Channel and MSNBC.
In 2006, I founded BakeSpace.com, the first food-themed social network, and grew it into a digital media and branded-content platform working with companies including Disney, ABC, Sony, Canon, Hershey, Chobani, KitchenAid, Google, Microsoft and Whole Foods. More recently, I created BakeBot.ai, an AI kitchen assistant that brings voice, vision and generative AI into the cooking experience.
Today, I bring those worlds together through Pepaj Media, developing and producing original projects, pitch decks, AI films, movie trailers, vertical series and branded content. I can come into a project when it’s still an idea on a page, help figure out what it wants to be, build the materials to sell it, or stay with it through production and finished content.

With 15+ years producing unscripted television and years developing and packaging original formats, I look at a project as both a producer and a development person. That means I’m not just making the deck look good. I’m looking at the hook, format, characters, story engine, positioning and what may still be missing before you take it into the room.
I create pitch decks, one sheets, lookbooks, treatments, sizzle materials and development presentations for unscripted TV, film, streaming, vertical and digital projects. I can work from a fully developed concept or come in much earlier to help figure out what the project actually wants to be.

I approach AI filmmaking the same way I approach any production: story first. The tools may be new, but the job is still figuring out what the audience should feel, what belongs in the frame, how a scene should play and what makes someone want to keep watching.
I create AI films, movie trailers, proof-of-concept scenes, vertical series, commercials, branded content and social video, combining traditional production experience with generative video, image, voice and editing tools.
What makes my approach different is that I’m not an AI creator trying to learn filmmaking. I’m a producer and storyteller using AI to make things that previously would have required a much larger production, budget or crew.
